first, see if the park you are about to suggest is already listed in the directory:
http://www.offroadlands.com/parks.asp

if it's not listed, send me an email or post park details here.

i will be adding all state parks and national forests myself while privately owned parks should be added by the park owners.

>> Wolf Pen Gap ATV/OHV Trail System

seems there's always someone trying to close the trails... sucks, doesn't it?

BUT - you guys are lucky you have public lands to offroad, we only have private parks in IL.

Here are some really good trail systems;
Wolf Pen ATV/OHV Trails in the Ouachita (wash-i-taw) National Forest, Mena/Polk County, Arkansas.
Many Trails all around the area from Polk County all the way to the North as in Sugar Creek - Poteau Mountain - and Fourche (fooche'). ( All are under the Mena/Oden Forest Ranger district)
At this time the Travel Management Rule from USDA/USFS is to be implemented early spring that will close "All Cross Country OHV Travel'....for another words....they are trying to close all the trails. But with our Club.....www.OUACHITA ATV ADVENTURE CLUB.org working at saving trails as well as many locals and a Northern club.......the Local Representative, Senator as well as the Town, it is hopeful that the trails will be saved. Check out our club web site and stay informed

I think it also might belong to the city. The land on one side has a city owned baseball complex where there was once a semipro team. The land has been for sale for a long time and is reduced by 50%. But it floods all the time. It would make a GREAT off road park if someone got it for that. It would already have a customer base!

It appears to be legal. The police patrol it once in a while. They use ATV's on the trails. I have passed them, they just wave and keep going.

GREAT people and trails, from mild to wild. we've taken our rockcrawlers, 4wheeler and the daily driver jeep and have had a blast on all.

thank you, Terry!

i know you said cops don't care, but is it legal to wheel though?
Fulltimer Posted - 06/19/2009 : 06:04:57 AM
Albany, GA

There are some "unofficial" trails along the Flint River. These trails have been used for years and nobody cares. Evan the police don't care. There is mud, washouts, a couple of banks and some really nice sand dunes. The dunes are supposed to be the largest east of the Big Muddy.

Located just off 4 lane Route 19. Turn north on Blaylock Street. The area is on your immediate left.

find a park/trail you want to write your travel guide for, go to its profile, click on "I know the area!" link at the top of the page or "Write a Travel Guide" link at the bottom...

there will be a CHECKBOX with "Add this travel guide to other Off Road Lands located in close proximity to [name of the park/trail]."

click on it, it will bring up all the parks/trails available. check the ones you are writing the guide for. if you are unsure you are selecting the right places, just click on their names, their profiles will open in a separate window.

click on "Add/Remove Lands" button after you selected the parks/trails you are writing travel guide for.

continue with the guide, click on "Submit" button when done.

you can update your reviews and travel guides at any time, so if you remember something in a day/week/year you can always add to it later.
