Wish I Lived Closer!
Waterloo, SC July 4, 2008 - Wheeled and camped at Gulches for the 4th and had an excellent time. The campsites are primitive but very scenic, sandy, and expansive. There is a bathroom and kitchen available to all at the office. The owner is very cool and extremely knowledgeable about wheelin'. He, or one of the guides, will glady show you around the whole park and spot for you, they truly love this sport. There is plenty to do for all skill levels (mud, sand, rocks, climbs, etc.) and they have several events scheduled throughout the year. Be careful of the american dingo runnin' around. She's a little shy but, a sweet dog who loves to watch us wheel. I can't wait to go back!

This park deserves 6 stars!
My favorite place to have wheeled, to date!!
The property is beautiful and terrain is fabulous. Sand, mud, rock, competition course, cement garden... What more could you ask for? Would recommend being modded (lift, tires, etc.), as the terrain provides a good challenge and the more modded/built your rig is, the more you will be able to successfully tackle. Trails are marked exceedingly well. This is the most organized wheelin' park that I've ever seen. Do not underestimate this place - There are some impossible obstacles - Try 'em if you dare.
Skip (Park's Owner) is the King of Off-Road Parks! He totally rocks. His hospitality is unmatched. Not only did he open the park grounds on an off-day he opened his park home to the "Va Beach Jeeping Group". Skip and his buddy Dan personally guided my 3 other wheelin' buddies and I through some kickin' trails and obstacles that we wouldn't have gotten through without their spotting expertise.
Can't wait to wheel The Gulches again!
